    Marie Spano, MS, CSCS

    Marie. A. Spano, MS, CSCS is the sports dietitian for the Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Braves and works with a variety of athletes including NFL, PGA and NHL players through her company Spano Sports Nutrition Consulting, LLC. Spano is also a regular guest expert on CNN, NBC, ABC, Fox and CBS affiliates, co-editor of the NSCA’s Guide to Exercise and Sport Nutrition (Human Kinetics Publishers) and a freelance journalist for FitnessRx for Women, as well as several trade publications. A three-sport collegiate athlete, Spano earned her masters in nutrition from the University of Georgia and her bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro (UNCG) where she was a student athlete representative to the NCAA and scholarship cross country athlete.
