Robert Linkul, MS, CSCS,*D, NSCA-CPT

Robert Linkul

Robert Linkul is the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) 2012 Personal Trainer of the Year and is a volunteer with the NSCA as their Southwest Regional Coordinator and Chairman for the Personal Trainers Special Interest Group (SIG). Linkul has written for a number of fitness publications including Personal Fitness Professional, Healthy Living, OnFitness Magazine, NSCA Hot Topics, NSCA SIG Newsletter, and the NSCA Performance Training Journal. Linkul is also an international continued education presenter within the fitness industry and the career development instructor for the National Institute of Personal Training (NPTI).

California - North State Director

Jennifer Enos, CSCS

Jennifer graduated from Humboldt State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) while also playing four years of intercollegiate basketball. She is proud to be an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®). Enos is currently the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Arden Hills Resort in Sacramento, CA focusing primarily on youth athletic development. She has a passion to learn and further educate herself in order to help athletes/individuals as well as other coaches/trainers. Enos believes that the price of success is hard work, determination, education, and the ability to learn from failures.

Michael Massis, MS, CSCS, CSPS

Michael Massis

Michael Massis has been a member of the NSCA since 1997 and is a true Ironman having attended every conference since 2001 in Spokane, WA. Massis currently serves as the State Director for Southern California. He started providing training advice to fellow athletes over 30 years ago and migrated to the professional ranks in clubs and gyms back in the early 1990s. Massis holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology in which he specialized in Biomechanics. He also holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) and Certified Special Population Specialist (CSPS) certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as the American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT) certification. Massis has also earned a certification in massage techniques and state and national certifications as a Massage Therapist. He is currently completing his work for the Board Certification in Massage Therapy. He loves to use all of these tools to provide advice and guidance to anyone needing help with any of the aspects of the human body’s function and performance, and has applied it to clients that range from 8 to 95 years old, including Olympians and professional athletes.

Charles Ware, NSCA-CPT

Charles Ware

Author, educator, and international lecturer, Charles Ware is the Executive Director of the Professional Fitness Institute, the premier provider of education, training, and curriculum to the personal fitness training industry. Ware is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri where he received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Exercise and Sport Science; he received his Doctor of Health and Education degree from A.T. Still University. Ware is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the National Physical Activity Society (NPAS), the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD), and the American Association of Health Education (AAHE). He is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) with the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association® (NSCA-CPT®), a certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach (LWMC) with the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and holds a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist (PAPHS) certification in addition to the Exercise is Medicine® Credential Level II with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). In addition to authoring a McGraw-Hill textbook, Ware is an Adjunct Faculty member of Pinnacle Career Institute-Online, an Associate Faculty member of the University of Phoenix-Las Vegas, and a National Faculty member of the United States Sports Academy. He was recently appointed the NSCA Nevada State Director in July of 2013.

Michelle Rathke, MS, CSCS

Michelle Rathke

Michelle Rathke received her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Troy University and has dual Master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from San Diego State University. She is currently a PhD candidate in Nutrition at the University of Hawaii. Rathke holds the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is the NSCA Hawaii State Director. She has been working in the strength and conditioning field since her time at Troy University as a student strength and conditioning coach. Rathke’s passion is to help advance the science of nutrition and exercise physiology for athletes.
